Not Applicable's first live show in 10 years! EMBODIED
CD/DVD/LIMITED
Performed November 9th & 10th of 2011 in Seattle
- Spotlight, mp3.com
Courtnee worked with The Dream Traveler creating "Structure" and "Headpusher", released through Fade records (2003). "Headpusher" was featured on Nick Warren's Global Underground release Reykjavik.
Courtnee sang on Scribe Machine's excellent electronic album Replicant in the track Fragile, released as a Maxi-single through Plan B and Tower Records (2003).
The music of Not Applicable has been in numerous films, from college-assignments/personal projects to the IMDB listed "Horrorvision" (2001) and "Jigsaw" (2002).
Courtnee Papastathis possesses the unique ability to virtually freeze time with her moving, highly emotional ambient landscapes.
Formerly noted as "One of MP3. com's fastest rising electronic allstars", as the haunting, creepily exhilarating artist nondescriptly known as Not Applicable, Courtnee was active in the digital music revolution at the turn of the century, contributing to news articles and developing a loyal fanbase. The bands original works, "Point of Origin" (1999), and "Altercations" (2000), are now available on the self-release "Autochthon" (2012).
In 2007, Courtnee self released "Songs of Leaving". The last of the 50-album limited edition run was sold in September of 2011. That same year Courtnee performed her first fully produced live show, "Embodied", which is available on CD, a Limited Edition (25 copies) CD/DVD set, and a behind the scenes DVD movie.
The former Californian, academic non-conformist, tea lover, renaissance woman, and on-again, off-again domestic chef has enjoyed living in the Pacific Northwest since 1998. A failed dot-com hopping desk jockey and former dual-incomed Microsoft wife, Courtnee now lives a sinful post-modern Bohemian existence in the throes of first-world poverty, yet (usually) understands that she is wealthier than ever before. She thinks deeply, feels deeply, and lives life on her own terms.
